We’re excited to introduce another new feature: The Color Swapper. The Color Swapper is designed to make sure that you get exactly the colors you want for your project. Get creative, swap the colors until you get it picture perfect.

Hi all,

We’re excited to introduce our newest feature: Tagging. Tagging allows you to apply a category-like description to your project. It makes finding and sorting your projects easier, especially in the public gallery.

Also, by popular demand, you can now name your projects! Don’t worry, these features are also available to those of you who have already gotten your kits.

We hope you like the new features and we’re always looking for ways to make the Paintapic experience better. Please leave us comments and suggestions here, or by leaving a comment below.

Artists put a modern twist on classic paint-by-numbers kits

We love seeing just how creative people get with their paint-by-numbers. Here’s a great example. “Bumber By Bumber” is an “ an interactive and fully immersive Paint-by-Number art exhibit curated by Marlow Harris and JoDavid for the 2011 Bumbershoot Arts Festival. ” They gave artists classic kits for them to re-invent. See more pictures and read a great article about the exhibit here.

We were delighted to be featured in this months edition of “The Bark.” As some of you may have noticed from our intro video, we’ve got quite a soft-spot for our four legged friends around here. The dog featured in the article is Basil, a pound-puppy, who diligently attended to all scraps that survived that back-yard BBQ last summer. The pug in the intro video is little miss Danger in her younger years. She’s still not grown into her face, and I hope she never does…

We can’t begin to express how exciting this process had been. As launch day approaches, we’ve been confronted by many hurdles. Though it would be much easier and cheaper to just cut corners, we’re dedicated to making Paintapic the product, but also experience, the best we possibly can. For example, we all but scrapped our initial website to create something we’re much more excited about. We also sourced new components for the kit that substantially elevate the quality of the product. It’s all coming together and we can’t wait to show you…
